A-Lex Production Effective date: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how A-Lex Production ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, The Playlist app, the A-Lex Production app, or any related services (together, the "Services").

*This document is a starting draft. It is not legal advice β€” please have it reviewed before publishing, and fill in the bracketed placeholders with your real details.*

1. Who We Are

A-Lex Production operates a music platform that lets listeners stream and purchase songs, albums, and beat licenses, and lets artists and producers upload, manage, and sell their own music and beats.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide (display name, artist/producer profile info, bio, social links, profile image).

Purchases and orders

When you buy a song, album, or beat license, we collect order details: what you purchased, the price and currency, payment method (Google Play Billing, MMG, or HandyPay), and order status. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves β€” payment is handled by Google Play, MMG, or HandyPay directly, and we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

Artist and producer wallet data

If you have an artist or producer account, we track sales, earnings, commission, and withdrawal history connected to your wallet.

Uploaded content

If you're an artist or producer, we store the audio files, cover art, and metadata (titles, credits, release dates, etc.) you upload for songs, albums, and beats.

Usage data

We collect play history, likes, favorites, and search activity to power features like recommendations, "recently played," and personalized sections of the app.

Device and push notification data

If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send you updates (new releases, order confirmations, etc.). We may also collect basic device/app information (app version, operating system) for troubleshooting.

Communications

If you contact us for support, we keep a record of that correspondence.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process purchases and deliver the content you've bought
  • Pay artists and producers their earnings
  • Operate core app features (streaming, library, favorites, search, recommendations)
  • Send transactional notifications (order confirmations, new releases you may be interested in)
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Improve and maintain the Services
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third Parties We Work With

To operate the Services, certain information is shared with the following categories of providers, solely to perform the function described:

  • Database and authentication β€” our backend infrastructure provider, to store account and catalog data securely.
  • File storage β€” cloud storage providers used to host audio files, cover art, and other uploaded content.
  • Payment processing β€” Google Play Billing, MMG, and HandyPay, to process purchases. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the payment information you give them directly.
  • Push notifications β€” a push notification service, to deliver alerts to your device.
  • Streaming platform links β€” when you or an artist link a Spotify, Apple Music, or Audiomack profile, we may fetch public cover art or metadata from those platforms.

We require these providers to protect your information and only use it for the services they provide us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations (for example, sales and payout records). If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information that we are not required to keep for those purposes.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information
  • Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device or app settings

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at a.lex.production689@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email.
