# A-Lex Production — Website Guide

Everything you can do on A-Lex Production, explained plainly for whoever's using it — Listeners, Artists, and Producers. No technical jargon.

1. For Everyone

No account needed for any of this:

  • Browse the full catalog — songs, albums, artists, producers, and beats.
  • Stream previews for free — every song has a free preview player; you only pay if you want the downloadable file.
  • Search the whole site (songs, artists, albums, beats) from one search bar.
  • Read the blog and watch featured videos.
  • See the "Top Songs" chart — a live leaderboard combining YouTube, Spotify, Audiomack, and Apple Music numbers.
  • Book a mixing/mastering/marketing service or enter a Riddim Challenge — both are open to anyone, account or not.
  • Buy a song, album, or beat as a guest — you don't need to create an account to purchase; you just need a valid email so your download link and receipt can be sent to you.

2. For Listeners

Anyone can create a free account as a Listener. This unlocks:

  • Like and comment on songs (and on Riddim Challenge entries).
  • Favorite/save songs, albums, artists, beats, and producers to come back to later, all grouped together on your account page.
  • Personalized homepage — once you've listened/liked a bit, your home page starts surfacing recommendations based on your taste (similar songs, more from artists you like, hidden gems).
  • Your Orders — every past purchase and its download links, in one place, so you never lose a receipt.
  • Register for and submit entries to Riddim Challenges.
  • Guest purchases auto-attach to your account — if you bought something as a guest before signing up, logging in with the same email pulls those old orders into your account automatically.
  • Delete your account at any time from account settings.

Becoming an Artist or Producer

Any Listener account can apply to become an Artist or a Producer (or both — the site fully supports holding one of each). Two ways to apply:

  • Claim an existing page — if A-Lex Production already has a profile for you (added by admin), you can request to claim it as your own.
  • Propose a new profile — if you don't have one yet, you submit your info and it's reviewed for approval.

Applications are reviewed by A-Lex Production before being approved.

3. For Artists

Once your Artist account is approved, you get an Artist Dashboard with:

  • Upload songs — submit a track with cover art and audio for admin review; once approved it goes live in the public catalog.
  • Edit your profile — bio, photo, socials (Instagram/YouTube/TikTok/Spotify/Apple Music/Audiomack).
  • Manage your releases — edit metadata on songs you've published, set a price to sell downloads, or remove a song/submission.
  • Wallet & earnings — if your songs sell as paid downloads, your cut lands in your Artist Wallet. You can see every transaction, request a withdrawal (paid out manually via MMG or PayPal), and track pending vs. available balance.
  • Sales analytics — see how your releases are performing and what you've earned.
  • Verified badge — verified artist profiles get a checkmark badge shown across the site.
  • Live stats — if you connect your Spotify/YouTube, your profile shows real follower/subscriber/view numbers automatically.

Artist Memberships

Artist plans (Free, Rising Artist, Studio Professional, etc.) change what you get:

  • A lower platform commission on sales — higher tiers keep more of what they earn.
  • Free monthly perks — some plans include a certain number of free beat leases and/or a free professional Mix & Master per month.
  • Discounts on paid services (see §6) — some plans give a percentage off mixing/mastering/marketing bookings.

You can hold an Artist plan and a Producer plan at the same time if you have both account types — they're managed and billed separately.

4. For Producers

Once your Producer account is approved, you get a Producer Dashboard with:

  • Sell beats, loops, sound kits, and more — upload a product, set license pricing, and it appears in the Beat Store.
  • Multiple license tiers per beat — offer Basic, Stems, and Exclusive Rights licenses (or a simple flat license for loops/kits), each with its own price and included files.
  • Custom or default contracts — write your own license terms per product, or use the built-in default contract.
  • Collaborations — tag another producer as a collaborator on a beat; both get proper credit.
  • Storage quota — your plan sets how much upload storage you get; your dashboard shows usage vs. limit.
  • Wallet & earnings — same ledger-based wallet system as Artists: every sale is tracked, balances clear from "pending" to "available" over time, and you request manual withdrawals via MMG or PayPal.
  • Sales analytics — track sales and earnings by product.
  • Verified & tiered badges — "Pro" and "Studio" badges appear on your beats/profile depending on your plan, and higher tiers get better visibility/ranking in the store.

Producer Memberships

Producer plans (Free, Producer Pro, Producer Studio, etc.) mainly change:

  • Storage limit for uploads.
  • Platform commission on sales.
  • Store visibility — paid tiers get a ranking boost so their beats surface as if freshly uploaded, plus the Beat Store's "Featured" section is reserved for Studio-tier producers' best sellers.

5. Riddim Challenges

A-Lex Production's remix/talent competitions — "Record. Compete. Get Discovered."

How it works: 1. Register for an active challenge (free) — this unlocks the downloadable challenge pack (the riddim/instrumental + artwork). 2. Record your own song/verse over the riddim. 3. Post it to Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and submit your entry on the site along with links to all three posts. 4. Your entry is reviewed by A-Lex Production, then appears on the challenge's public leaderboard.

Rules worth knowing:

  • You can submit as many songs on the riddim as you want — no limit.
  • You can't upload your entry to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, or any other streaming/distribution service, and you can't register it for Content ID or sell it commercially — doing so risks disqualification and copyright claims.
  • You must tag A-Lex Production and include the challenge/riddim name in your post.

Scoring: Half the score comes straight from what happens on-site — your entry's plays, likes, and comments. The other half is judged manually by A-Lex Production (social performance + song quality).

Winners: the top 5 entries per challenge win. Completed challenges have their winners featured permanently on the Hall of Fame.

6. Production & Marketing Services

Bookable directly from the site — no account required. Every booking includes a written agreement that lays out ownership/royalty terms; you confirm it and A-Lex Production follows up (mainly via WhatsApp).

Some Artist membership plans include a monthly free Mix & Master credit, or a discount percentage on any of the above.

7. Buying, Paying & Getting Your Files

  • Two ways to pay:

- MMG (Guyana mobile money) — pay in GYD. - Card payment — pay in USD via a secure hosted checkout.

  • Guest checkout is fully supported for songs and albums — just provide your email; your receipt and download link are emailed to you, and the link works without ever needing to log in.
  • Beat licenses require a name + email as part of the signed license agreement (since it's a legal license, not just a file sale).
  • Discount codes can be applied at checkout when you have one.
  • Lost your download link? Use "Recover My Downloads" — enter the email you purchased with and it'll be re-sent (works even if you never made an account).
  • Every download link is freshly generated each time you click it, so an old emailed link never "expires" or breaks — it always redirects to a valid file.
  • Upgrading a beat license — if you bought a Basic or Stems lease and want to move up to Exclusive Rights, you can request an upgrade from your account; A-Lex Production reviews and follows up.

8. Account & Membership Basics

  • One login, multiple roles — your account can simply be a Listener, or it can additionally hold an Artist profile, a Producer profile, or both. A switcher on your dashboard lets you flip between an Artist view and a Producer view if you have both.
  • Currency display — prices can be shown converted into different currencies for convenience, but actual charges always go through in the currency the payment provider supports (GYD via MMG, USD via card).
  • Wallets are separate per role — if you're both an Artist and a Producer, you have two independent wallets and two independent balances/withdrawal histories.
  • Withdrawals are reviewed by hand — when you request a payout, it goes through a short approval → processing → paid pipeline; A-Lex Production sends the money outside the app (MMG transfer or PayPal) and marks it paid once sent.
